Exploring the Future of Transactions: A Visual Experiment

This collection of imagery emerges from a unique cross-cultural design workshop that challenged students to rethink the future of financial transactions. Conducted at Xiamen International College, part of Xiamen University in Southern China, and Winchester School of Art in the UK, the workshops took place on April 20th and May 3rd, 2017, respectively.

The brief encouraged students to project forward, exploring how technological momentum might continue to shape financial exchanges. They were asked to consider the evolution of money and redefine the interaction between vendors and buyers—breaking away from traditional symbols, numerations, and physical attributes. The goal was to create bold, ambitious concepts that challenge conventional understanding.
